The 100 hectares of vines of the Chateau de L'Escarelle wine estate flourish in a gorgeous setting 1,100 hectares ofunspoilt countryside rising up to a maximum height of 500 metres above sea level. This terroir's very special characteris perfect for creating highly expressive, sophisticated wines that are the distinctive hallmark of the Chateau de l'Escarelle.An amazing terroir, incredible diversity of wildlife, a rare natural habitat and a team of passionate individuals are all part of what makes this unique place so special. The Chateau de l'Escarelle is Exploitation HVE-certified (awarded to farmers who choose environmentally friendly farming practices) and is also in the process of converting to organic methods all of which goes to demonstrate its total commitment to safeguarding the environment.Respectful of more than three centuries of priceless tradition and heritage, the Chateau de l'Escarelle has nonetheless always looked to and invested in the future, meaning it's always ready to write the next chapter of its story!Our traditional storehouse has been fitted with state of the art wine making equipment that's unique in Provence, helping us to really tease out the subtle yet distinctive traits and qualities of our grape varieties and terroirs. It's this that enables us to craft elegant, beautifully balanced wines which delight the juries of the most prestigious competitions, year after year.Our different grape varieties (Mourvedre, Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Rolle) have been chosen with the utmost of care, with each individual terroir and plot in mind. Chateau de l'Escarelle wines now boast a global reputation and grace the tables of the finest culinary establishments in France and further afield.
